Using our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qats.com\/Consulting\/Custom-Cooling-Solutions\">3-Core Design Process<\/a> ATS engineered a solution with optimal heat sink removal, design and placement.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"359\" src=\"http:\/\/www.qats.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/ATS_3Core_Design_Process_500x359_with_logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8214\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.qats.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/ATS_3Core_Design_Process_500x359_with_logo.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.qats.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/ATS_3Core_Design_Process_500x359_with_logo-300x215.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><strong>ATS 3-Core Design Process<\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">ATS&#8217; solution removed 16 heat sink from the customers PCB board,  replacing them with turbulators and eight high-efficiency heat sinks.  ATS&#8217; U.S. based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qats.com\/Services\/Rapid-Prototyping\">quick turn prototype shop<\/a> was able to turn prototypes of the necessary pieces in 48 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"190\" height=\"98\" src=\"http:\/\/www.qats.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lucent-Cost-Reduction-Image-6-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10405\"><\/figure><\/div><div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.qats.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lucent-Cost-Reduction-Image-5-e1567535719554.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10405\"><\/figure><\/div>&gt;<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.qats.com\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/Lucent-Cost-Reduction-Image-7.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-10405\"><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The customer&#8217;s board then met the thermal target the customer&#8217;s engineering team had set.  Another big benefit of this program was that we saved the customer 40% off the BOM cost since our design removed 16 heat sinks.
