Thermal Management in Electronic Components Can Polymers Replace Metals Or Ceramics?

Aravind Chander at Frost and Sullivan has a presentation up on Slideshare that talks about thermal management relative to new materials. Among some of his thoughts in this presentation he says:

  • Development of Thermally Conductive Polymers (TCP) has paved the way for significant breakthroughs for thermal management applications
  • Thermal polymer scientists are not behind in the development curve; some excellent options exist today
  • Polymers can be more easily custom manufactured to a wider range of sizes and shapes when compared to conventional materials. This enables them to be used in more places.
