As all of you may have guessed, Advanced Thermal Solutions survived the Blizzard of 2015! The Massachusetts State Emergency has been lifted and we are open for business. For our engineers, here’s some numbers here on the storm:
- Snowfall was between 24 – 36 inches depending on where you were in Eastern Massachusetts
- Peak wind gusts were 78 mph
- 500 National Guard troops were needed during the storm for help
- 35,000 tons of salt were on hand in Boston along at the start of the blizzard
- 700 pieces of snow removal equipment were ready in Boston at the start of the blizzard
- 40,000 homes lost power in great Boston during the blizzard
- Ski Areas in Massachusetts (Nashoba Valley, Wachusett and Bradford) got about 30 inches of white powder snow, perfect for skiing
