ATS has expanded its line of high-performance, off-the-shelf, flat and round heat pipes in order to provide the broadest selection of off-the-shelf heat pipes on the market. ATS high-performance copper heat pipes with grooved or sintered, copper powder wick structures are the perfect solution for cooling a variety of applications across numerous industries, including aerospace, medical, consumer electronics, telecommunications, HVAC, and more.
ATS is expanding its flat and round heat pipe offerings from 33 to more than 350. Round heat pipes will be available in lengths of 70-600 mm and diameters of 4-10 mm, while flat heat pipes will be available in lengths of 70-500 mm, widths of 4.83-11.41 mm, and heights of 2-6.5 mm.
Thanks to a state-of-the-art, on-site testing process in its new heat pipe lab, ATS ensures the reliability and expected thermal performance of all the heat pipes that it offers.
Before considering costly custom heat pipe dimensions, which can add time as well as money to a project, engineers should explore the extensive array of off-the-shelf options that ATS offers in its expanded line to find the right fit to meet their specific thermal performance and space requirements.
ATS heat pipes are the perfect option to add to your cooling assembly.
Heat Pipes are used to transfer heat with minimal temperature difference from the heat source (evaporator) to the heat sink (condenser) as well as to spread the heat across a surface. Many factors have to be considered in choosing a heat pipe for a specific application. The effective length (Leff) is a useful indicator of the length of a heat pipe as employed in a specific application (accounting for evaporation and condensation lengths).
Heat pipes come in round or flat shapes. Flat heat pipes are easier to attach to heat dissipating components while the round heat pipes offer advantages for certain fin configurations at the condenser end.
